A Little RED Monster

Tammy was kind enough to give Grace a snack at the end of the tee-ball game today. Needless to say, Grace LOVED it.
However, when we got home, Grace had to go straight to the bath tub. I had to take the car seat apart and clean it too. HA! Nice job, Grace!

The Last Tee-Ball Game

Today Gabriel had his last tee-ball game of the season. We will miss tee-ball. It has been so much fun!
Gabriel was feeling a little under the weather today, so he was not enthusiastic about fielding at all.
Here are the Three Musketeers: Sam, Lucas, and Gabriel.
Gabriel took his last turn at bat.
This is Kiegan, Erin's nephew. He was on the opposing team today, and Erin's sister, Amy, was the coach.
Every kid got a medal at the end of the season. I think Gabriel was equally as pleased with the snack as he was the medal.

Coach Daniel, thank you for a great season. Gabriel had a wonderful time. I am so glad that he had a really wonderful experience for his first time playing an organized sport. You've been an awesome coach!

Baby Cousin Jake

Ginny came for a visit with three-month-old Jake on Friday afternoon. I love these two cute boys.

Messy Girl

Grace is little miss independent. She wants to do everything by herself. Sometimes that's a really good thing; other times it's very frustrating for her and us.

Last 2x3 Class at the Zoo

We had our last class at the zoo on Friday. The kids learned about the letter L.
They got to pet a lizard.
They colored and laced around the letter L.
On our zoo walk we got to see a mountain lion.
We also got to feed the lorikeets.

All in all, the boys REALLY enjoyed the class. It was really fun to have access to the zoo and see the animals early in the morning. The animals are so active in the morning. It's also cool to get to see them being fed too.

Tee-ball Practice

We couldn't keep Grace off of the baseball field at Gabriel's tee-ball practice on Wednesday. She really wants to be a Pirate too.
Grace was hanging with the boys.
The coach helped Gabriel with some batting practice.
Next, he ran the bases --- slowly.
Alicia made sure that Grace got a popsicle just like the players at the end of practice time.

Whipped Cream

Yeah, I teach my kids to enjoy the finer things in life. What could be better than whipped cream in a can?

Fireworks

Before the Father's Day cookout broke up, Uncle Rob, Bobby, and Ben decided to set off a few fireworks to give Gabriel and Grace a preview of upcoming 4th of July.
Bobby and Ben took turns lighting the fireworks.
Then we all waited to see what happened.

Water Balloon Fight

After dinner on Father's Day, I thought that it might be a good idea to let the kids play with water balloons. The kids I intended were Bobby, Ben, Gabriel, and Grace. It was much bigger kids, myself included, who ended up having a water balloon fight. Gabriel and Grace were just along for the ride. HA!
The process started with Gabriel helping Uncle Brian fill the balloons and I tied them.
Gabriel was not very patient. His favorite part was watching them splash as he threw them into the grass. What fun is throwing a water balloon into the grass? We had to teach this boy a lesson!
Grace was the first to have a water balloon popped on her head.
They waited somewhat patiently for me to fill more balloons.
At some point I ended up being put in the baby pool by Dan and Brian. Oh well!
Dan gave Gabriel a pitcher to get Brian and Erin wet with. It was faster and more efficient than water balloons.

Happy Father's Day

We had a nice Father's Day. We invited family over for a cookout. Dan got a martini kit for his Father's Day gift from me and the kids. It included a martini shaker, martini glasses, gin, vermouth, olives, and dirty martini mix. He had an opportunity while sitting by the smoker with "the men" to enjoy his gift.
