After Gabriel's birthday party this past Sunday, Grace took a little cat nap. At bedtime, she was not the least bit sleepy and wound up. She cooed and laughed. So rather than trying to force her to bed Mommy took advantage of this time to get some one-on-one time with her.

Karney and Dodie visited too.
We had a yummy lunch of chicken salad sandwiches, barbequed sausages, vegetables, fruit, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and crackers and cheese. Gabriel enjoyed the food as well as the company.
Next Gabriel got to blow out the candle on his birthday cake. He did a good job. All that practice with blowing bubbles has paid off.
Finally came opening gifts . . .
He got an Elmo tent and a tunnel to crawl in from Uncle Robbie, Bobby, and Ben. And a basketball goal from Mommy and Daddy.

Birthday Celebration
I'm TWO!
We had a fun family day today getting ready for Gabriel's birthday party tomorrow and celebrating his birthday today!

Big Boy Seat
It occurred to us the other day that in just a month or two Grace will be eating cereal and starting solid food. In which case, she will need to sit in the high chair. We decided that it was time to move Gabriel to his booster seat at the table. He has done really well with it, and seems to enjoy sitting at the table.

Snow Days
Mommy was off from school yesterday and today because of the snow. It was a fun two days at home with the kiddos. Gabriel practiced drinking from a big boy cup and did quite well with it.
In the middle of getting out Play-Doh, he noticed that it was snowing again. He sat down in the floor and quietly watched the snow fall for several minutes. It was so sweet!
The kids hanging out together! They are so cute . . . I can't get enough of them!
Gabriel asked Mommy to take "MY picture" . . . meaning that he wanted to have a self-portait.

Bruiser . . . No, Bruised
Teething . . . Already!
Saturday Grace was very fussy. She cried nonstop for quite awhile, and nothing seemed to soothe her. I finally noticed that she was biting her hands so I thought a teething toy might make her feel better. After chewing on the frozen teething toy for less than a minute, she calmed right down. Tonight the same thing happened again. She was crying and crying. I gave her the frozen teething toy, and she calmed down. It seems like she is teething SO early . . . she is just growing up SO fast I can't stand it!
Diego Mittens and Hat
When Grandma found out that Gabriel went to the farm without any gloves or mittens, she decided to fix that situation. She bought Gabriel a Diego hat with matching mittens today. . . along with a few other goodies. Gabriel LOVED the hat and mittens. He kept touching the Diego patch on the hat and saying, "Diego, Go!" When we got home, he didn't want to take the mittens off.
