Daddy's Tractor
This kid loves to "drive!" When we got home this afternoon, Daddy's lawn mower was parked in the garage. Gabriel had to take a chance to drive it before going in the house.
Monsters vs. Aliens
Gabriel and I went Sunday afternoon to see Monsters vs. Aliens at the movie theater. It was a really cute movie and just long enough for Gabriel's attention span. (When I took this picture in the theater before the movie, he said, "MOM! Don't take any more pictures today!"
Of course, he had to "drive" at the arcade before we left.
Time Out!
Grace was a little jealous of Mommy spending time with Gabriel this weekend. To show that she was angry, she bit Gabriel's toes! The consequence to this was being put in time out. She was adorable going to time out. Her head hung low, her shoulders stooped, fingers in her mouth, and big tears. It was so hard not to laugh!

Angel
Tonight at bedtime the kids and I said the Lord's Prayer, like we do every night. After the prayer, I opened my eyes to see My Angel Grace with her head bowed slightly and her little hands together, fingers perfectly intertwined. She lifted her head and said, "AY-MEEN!" It was one of the most precious moments I have ever experienced with my kids. I cannot describe how angelic she looked and sounded. I wish someone could have caught that moment on tape for us to have forever.
Daredevil
Tonight before bath time, the kids and I picked up ALL of the toys in the basement. (I was planning to vacuum after they were in bed.) I even put the activity table and Gabriel's stool on top of the picnic table to get it off of the floor. Gabriel and I got to the top of the steps, and I looked back to find Grace missing. When I went back downstairs to find her, this is what I saw. She is obviously quite proud of herself! This girl cracks me up!!!

Movie Night
Lunch with Daddy
We met Daddy at work today so that we could go out to lunch. Cracker Barrel was close and kid-friendly. Gabriel LOVES their chicken and dumplings.
Grace at from Daddy's plate: catfish, french fries, and hush puppies.
"Bye, Daddy! We'll see you on Sunday!" Daddy is leaving for a backpacking trip after work.

Bowling
We went with Uncle Rob and Bobby after naps today to bowl. Gabriel had such a good time!
Daddy gave Gabriel a little instruction on what to do.
Uncle Rob showed everyone how it's done.
It wasn't long before Gabriel was on his own.
We even let Grace send a ball down the lane.
The kids got a little bored with bowling toward the end, so we went to the game room.
They never care that we don't put tokens in the machines, as long as they can pretend to drive.
When we first got to the bowling alley, Grace ran around saying, "Baw-l, baw-l, baw-l!" She was so excited to see the bowling balls everywhere.

Illnesses
Gabriel woke up several times during the night complaining that his ear hurt, so this morning he and I went to the Immediate Care Center. He has ear infections in both ears and pink eye. I have mastitis . . . again.
I am grateful that I am off work this week to be with Gabriel while he's sick and so I can slow down a bit to get over the mastitis. However, I did not intend to spend Spring Break with a sick kiddo.
We are trying not to let it get us down.

Another Step in the Right Direction
Gabriel pooped in the toilet tonight! (Yes, he also had 3 or 4 poop accidents in his underwear today, but oh well.) This is a first at home. He's done Number 2 at Staci's a few times in her toilet, but never at home . . . until today! He asked if he could wear his Lightning McQueen underwear after he pooped. We were happy to have him wearing undies that he was proud of. We hope this is the beginning of a habit.
Sunday Evening
Last night we went to the park to play, and then we took a short walk around the neighborhood. Grace started out walking, but was a little difficult to keep track of.
Gabriel pretty much ran the whole way.
Grace's favorite thing at the park is the mulch. She had it in the hood of her jacket, down the back of her diaper, and in her hair.

Mulch!
Beautiful Weather . . . YES!
We went to the park by Grandma and Papa's house tonight after dinner. We had SO much fun! I love the Spring weather! Grace loved sliding down the curly slide. She must have gone down a dozen times.
Gabriel was trying to be sweet and give his sister a kiss. Do you love how his thumb is in her mouth? No wonder she is such a tough girl!
Papa met us at the park.
What a fun evening!
