Hanging Out with Mommy

Mommy has had Thursday and Friday off of work for Fall Break. Today Gabriel and Mommy spent the day together hanging out. Mommy doesn't feel like she can do much with Gabe by herself. To make the day feel a little bit special, we went to McDonald's for lunch and then came home for an Oreo cookie dessert. It has been a nice day.

TORNADO WARNING

Trick or Treating was short-lived! A quarter mile into the zoo, we started to hear the civil alert sirens and a warning over the loud speakers that we were under a tornado warning. We kept trick or treating like troopers, until a zoo worker funneled all of us into The Outpost saying that a funnel cloud was visible from the parking lot. We hung out there in the men's restroom until we felt like it was safe to head home. A very memorable experience . . . but a little disappointed about the trick or treating. Everyone hoped that hoofing it out of the zoo would help coax Grace along --- doubt it!

Trick or Treat at the Zoo

We went to dinner tonight and trick or treating at the zoo with the Nuxoll family, the Lewis family, and the McAfee family. It was a good time hanging out with friends. The kids looked adorable in their costumes!

Miscellaneous Cute Pics

Two weekends ago Gabriel decided not to take a morning nap. He laid in his bed for an hour and jabbered up a storm. He was really well behaved while in bed, but no sleeping happened. As soon as we left home to run some errands, he was out like a light. Daddy held him while he slept, and Mommy took care of some shopping in Target.

Playing with Uncle Brian

We had dinner tonight at Grandma and Papa's house. Uncle Brian joined too. Gabriel decided that Uncle Brian was a great playmate. They wrestled in the grass and chased each other around the shed.

Tuesday with Papa

Papa kept Gabriel last Tuesday while Mommy and Daddy worked. The two of the spent a lot of time playing outside.

McAfee's Party

Alicia threw a surprise birthday party for Daniel tonight. I think it's safe to say that he was NOT expecting it --- He was surprised! Go, Alicia! Sam and Gabriel had some time to play together before the party started and during the party too. Thanks for having us over, Guys! We had a great time!

Long Day

Gabriel and Mommy have had a rough day today. The kiddo woke up at 2:45 this morning crying. Between 2:45 and 4:00, he did not sleep. At 4:20 AM Mommy put him in our bed, and he slept off and on until 6:30. He had a fussy morning because he was so tired. After I picked him up from Staci's, he was cranky and had one melt down after another. Dinner was a challenge, to say the least, full of tears and bawling. Then he up-chucked his entire dinner. After cleaning up EVERYTHING and getting the kiddo bathed, I decided to feed him a little something before he had to go to bed. Oatmeal seemed like a good choice. While I was cooking his oatmeal, he decided to clean out the turn table for me. It was the only time all evening that he was happy. Bedtime was very welcome tonight!

Bridgepoint Picnic

We went to Lapping Park today for a picnic with the Bridgepoint staff. It was fun to see everyone outside of work and in a relaxed atmosphere. It was nice to see all of the little kiddos too.

Getting Ready

Grace's room is ready for her (It actually has been for a few weeks now). We bought a tandem stroller this weekend, and Grandma will be relieved to know that Mommy's bag is packed for the hospital. Time is flying by, and our little girl will be here before we know it!

Daddy's Back Massager

Mommy has been using Daddy's back massager in the evenings after Gabriel goes to bed. One evening this week, Gabriel decided to give it a try. His back must be ticklish because when the massager would move to the upper part of his back he leaned forward and giggled. He also likes to use the remote for the massager as a telephone. His favorite person to call is Mrs. Staci (his babysitter). He says, "Hi, TiTi! Fine . . .Fine. Bye!"

Getting Big

The belly is getting bigger as the time for Grace's arrival grows closer. I think this picture was taken at 34 weeks.

Sunday Morning with Grandma and Papa

Gabriel spent the night Saturday night with Grandma and Papa so that Mommy and Daddy could go out for Daddy's birthday. Gabriel spent a lot of time running and letting Papa chase him. He was exhausted when we got home, and I'm sure that Grandma and Papa were tired when he left too.

Saturday at Huber's

Gabriel and Mommy spent Saturday afternoon at Huber's with Grandma and Papa. He liked sitting on all of the old tractors outside the Farmer's Market. Then we went through the petting zoo. Gabriel fed miniature ponies and llamas. Then we gave him some time to play at the playground. It was a fun afternoon!

Dressing Up

Thursday evening Gabriel decided to act like quite a little clown. He was wearing his daddy's hat, his Elmo slippers, and Mommy's shoes. He trotted around the living room and kitchen cracking himself up!

Elmo Shoes

Mommy bought Gabriel some Elmo slippers at a yard sale a few weeks ago. He tried them on tonight and seemed to like them. He ran around in the basement looking at his feet!

Backyard Fun

Gabriel spent some time this evening playing outside in the backyard. He ran through his Elmo sprinkler, played in his pool with hose, and did some swinging in the swing.

At The Mall

We took a trip to the Greentree Mall today to get Gabriel a new pair of shoes. He has outgrown his cute little white hightop shoes. He has graduated to big boy sneakers now. Before we left the mall, we gave the kiddo time to play in the play area. He had a great time. He also rode in a car. He wasn't sure about it at first, but once he figured it out, he thought it was fun.
