We went to downtown Jeffersonville this morning for a little festival for families called Jeff Fest. All of the activities were free; we just paid for food and drinks. Gabriel rode a pony for the first time. He looked a little intimidated, but he liked it.

"Ride'em, Cowboy!"
Then Mommy and Gabiel went through the Purple People Eater! We had to do lots of climbing to get through it. . . . and once we were in, there was no turning back!
The climbing wall was a challenge, but it was fun!
We were so proud when we finished the Purple People Eater!
And who could go to a festival without getting a hot dog???

Grace Crawling
Grace has started to crawl this weekend. She pulls with her arms and pushes with her feet and knees. It resembles a rough army man crawl. She will only crawl a very short distance; however, she is certainly on the move. Notice at the end of the video that Gabriel takes a toy away from her. This is a scene that occurs at our house a dozen times a day.

Baking a Cake
Fire Truck
Clarksville firemen came through our neighborhood last night collecting money for Crusade for Children. We heard their sirens as they made their way through the neighborhood, and it seemed like it was taking them forever to make their way to us. Our house is typically the LAST house in the neighborhood that they come to. Instead of waiting for them, we decided to take a walk and find them.
We found the fire truck at the opposite end of our street from our house. It was a nice little walk for two-year-old legs.
Gabriel waited patiently and waved until the truck stopped for us.
Gabriel put the money in the bucket one quarter at a time. The guy collecting was very patient with him.
A fireman got out of the truck and let Gabriel stand inside the truck. He was a little excited, but a little scared too.
We walked back home and waited in our yard for them to come past our house. They blew their horn and turned on the sirens all the way down the street for Gabriel. The noise scared him a little. I didn't mind because it meant that he wanted me to hold him.
This was the view we had of the fire truck as it came down the street.

Potty Training --- Day 1
Today was the first day of full-out potty training. It is exhausting for both me and Gabriel. I think he kind of enjoyed it this morning, but by this evening he had had enough. He had one accident before his nap. He had three after Dan got home at 5:30. After the third one, I was done too. He took a bath, put on pj's, and went to bed with a diaper on. Whew! I need to rest up for tomorrow . . . Day 2.

Outside Fun
Grandma and Papa came over last night. We grilled some chicken while Gabriel played in his pool and in the hose. He had a ball . . . we had a ball watching him too.
Now it's a water slide!
Daddy and Papa took turns spraying Gabriel with the hose. He ran from the spray, but we know he liked it.
Chillin' in his pool with the beach ball.
