Last Swim Lesson

Tonight was our last evening of swimming at the Y for a while. Grace had her last swim class. By far, the biggest highlight of swim classes has been having play time in the big pool on the evening of class.
Grace has become so much more brave in the water. She LOVES to get in the big pool, walking around, and playing in the sprinklers.
Here is my cheesy girl.
Gabriel decided to cheese for camera too.
She is getting SO big, and she is SO independent.

T-Ball Practice

We bought Gabriel a t-ball set this weekend so that he can practice a little bit before his first game on Saturday. Daddy and Gabe started with a little pitching practice.
Then Daddy showed Gabriel how to hit a ball off of the tee.
Gabriel was quite thrilled when the ball actually flew off of the tee when it was hit.
Grace checked out the equipment.
Daddy had to let Grace take a swing too.

Just a warning to Coach McAfee . . . This entire t-ball practice lasted about ten minutes before Gabriel completely lost interest. HA!

Helping Daddy

Gabriel helped Daddy put together a cabinet tonight. He really was a good helper. He put the plastic covers on the screw heads.
He handed Daddy nails and screws.
Daddy even let him hammer some nails.

Now that the boys have done all of the hard work, we have an organized place for art supplies and games!

Blue Car

Gabriel informed us this weekend that he "loves our new blue car." HA! We do too, Buddy.

Mother's Day Dinner

We had dinner tonight with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Brian, and Erin at Kansai.
Gabriel loves their soup and rice, though he thinks Daddy can make better soup.
Such sweeties . . . Grace AND Erin!
Uncle Brian and Erin entertained the kids when dinner was over.

Zoo 2008
Zoo 2009

He is growing up too fast!!

Car Ride Naps

The kids were so pooped after their trip to the zoo that they both fell asleep on the way home.

My adorable little pooped puppies! It doesn't get any cuter than that!

Louisville Zoo

We made the spontaneous decision today to go to the zoo since t-ball was cancelled. We had a fabulous day! It was as close to perfect as it could get. . . beautiful weather, fun activity, and time with family.
We packed the kids' lunches to eat at the zoo.
Here is our perfect family of four.
Gorillas were pretty active today. This guy was the only one who chose to hang out outside.
I took one of these pictures of Gabriel last year. I want to compare the two pics. to see how he's changed.
We had fun feeding the lorikeets.
Papa is a natural with feeding the loris; he's had lots of practice.
Gabriel tried his hand at feeding the birds too.
Before leaving the zoo, we rode the train. Of course, Gabriel snacked the entire time we were at the zoo.
Grace snacked right along with her brother.

Another One for Uncle Ed

Thanks, Uncle Ed! We love to show off our Jag-wear.

Riding with the Top Down

I have to say that I was a little uncertain about our decision to buy the 'Stang until I got to watch the kids enjoying it tonight. I am looking SO forward to many more rides like this!

Top Down

What can I say? It's fun!

Sold!

We brought it home today! Wahoo!

Derby Party

We went to a Derby Party at the Lewis's house yesterday. It was a lot of fun for the adults and kids too! Here are Sam and Gabriel enjoying some yummy food.
Of course Sam was finished and Gabriel was still eating, so here is Gabriel with Grace and Jackson.
Daddy and the kids had fun playing on the hammock.
Jackson, Grace, Daddy, Sam, and Gabriel
This is the ONLY time that I will ever allow Grace to be in bed with a boy. Did anyone else notice Jackson and Grace flirting?
Jake was having a rough day because he got his shots earlier in the day.

Jan entertained a winding-down Grace and Braden.

Color Wonder

I know that I've said this a million times . . . Grace wants to do everything that her brother does. This includes coloring. The Color Wonder markers that Gabriel got for his birthday are perfect for her! She can color, but not make marks on anything but the special paper. I love it!
