Parking Lots

It cracks me up how any space in our house is fair game for becoming a Matchbox parking lot. This is the table cloth that Grace pulled off of the kitchen table.
You can see that Gabriel has made the table cloth into his very own parking area. These kids crack me up!

T-Ball Practice

Gabriel was supposed to have a make-up t-ball game tonight, but the other team forfeited. Our team just practiced instead. It was so fun watching these boys!
The boys ran the bases. You should have seen their faces as they ran. Everyone was cheering for them. They loved the attention.
Grandma entertained Grace for as long as she could be entertained. She was tired and cranky.
Next the kids practiced throwing and catching. Here is Gabriel throwing the ball to Coach McAfee.
He waited patiently for his turn to catch.
Here is Lucas rounding second base.
Gabriel hit the ball off of the tee.
He was very deliberate about touching each base as he ran.
Cool Man Sam rounded second base next.
At the end of practice the kids had fruit snacks and Capri Suns. That's one more reason for Gabriel to LOVE t-ball. Here are Sam and Gabriel posing.

Little Stinker

"Wahaa! I was climbing on the toilet and accidentally got my foot all cold and wet. Now Mommy is too busy taking pictures to help me! Wahaaaaa!"

Sunday in West Virginia

These are the ONLY pictures that I took on Sunday. The big boys went rafting, so I had the kiddos by myself. I was way too busy to worry about pictures. I am a little bummed, but oh well!

I tried using my knee as a brake as I slid off the side of a gravel road while the kids and I took a walk on Sunday morning. It doesn't look too bad here, but trust me, it's nasty. No skirts at work for me for a while.

Campfire S'mores

We fixed s'mores at a campfire on Saturday night. I love s'mores, and so does Gabriel.
We learned that Grace prefers her marshmellows straight from the bag --- no campfire toasting for her.

MORE Hot Tub Part 2

I promise that this is the last of the hot tub pictures. It was almost the only thing that the kids really enjoyed at the park, besides spending time with Bobby, Ben, and Uncle Rob.

Sunday while the big boys (all four of them) were rafting, the kids and I were playing in the hot tub when suddenly both kids simultaneously pooped in the hot tub. It wasn't nice solid stuff that was easily removed. Dan had to drain the hot tub, clean it, and refill after the rafting trip. After the poop, we all three got in the shower together. I had two screaming, crying kids who did NOT understand why we were taking a shower in the middle of the day. It was fun stuff!

Paddle Boat Riding

Saturday evening we went to the lake and decided to take a paddle boat for a ride.
What am I thinking? "Geez! This is hard work! Am I that out of shape?"
Gabriel was very frustrated in the boat because he could not pedal it.
Bobby and Ben made their way all over the lake in their paddle boat.

Giant Chess

The kids thought this life-size chess set was pretty fun. It was on the beach at the lake.

Deck Duty

Another highlight of the trip was that Gabriel got to pee off the edge of the deck. I think he peed a hundred times just because it was fun to pee off of the deck. HA!

MORE Hot Tub

Guess what the kids and men wanted to do after lunch on Saturday????

Chip Fiend

Grace was in heaven when Bobby let her eat chips right out of the bag! She passed up sweets all weekend if chips were around. That is NOT a trait that she gets from her mommy.

ACE Stables

We drove up to the stables at the park after the kids played in the hot tub. We scheduled a wagon ride for 7 o'clock Saturday evening, but the wagon forgot us and didn't show up. Bummer. Gabriel thought it was too funny to feed the horses.
Grace would not get adventurous enough to pet the horse.

Ben rode with us to see the horses too.

Saturday Morning in West Virginia

Yes, immediately after breakfast on Saturday morning the kids were ready to get in the hot tub again. It was like having our own little swimming pool on the deck.

Gabriel and Grace enjoyed spending the weekend with their cousins and Uncle Rob so much!

Friday Night in West Virginia

We headed to ACE Adventure Resort for Memorial Weekend. The Nuxoll's, Cymbalist's, and other friends of the Nuxoll's came as well. We had a great time enjoying the perfect weather and the beautiful park.We stayed in a log cabin that had a hot tub on the deck. We let the water stay cool enough so that it was like a bath tub, and the kids could play in it. Needless to say, the hot tub was a highlight for Gabriel and Grace (and everyone else too, I think).

Dan and Bobby relaxing before bed on Friday night.

Ben chilled in the hot tub too.

Rob and I didn't get in the hot tub on Friday night. We had all weekend to enjoy it.

Mommy's Little Helper II

Grace loves to "help," so this evening Mommy and Daddy were in the kitchen when Grace got out the aprons. Daddy dressed her up in the apron.
And then Grace unloaded drawers and then put the items back. Again, it's cheap entertainment.

Mailbox

One of Grace's favorite things lately is going to the mailbox with Daddy. All the way home today she repeated, "Daddy . . . meel (mail) . . . bok (box)." So when we got home Daddy took the kids for a field trip to the mailbox. Isn't it funny the simple things that entertain them? For now anyway.

Company

Mommy hosted a jewelry party last night. It was a fun change to have company in the middle of the week. Look at Grace cheesing at the camera here.
Missy and Abby came to visit too.

Goofball Gabe

Gabriel has said and done some very silly things lately, so I have to share a few.

First, Sunday morning Dan took Gabriel to the bathroom to do #2. Gabriel climbed up on the toilet not noticing a dead May fly already in the water. When he got off of the toilet he looks in to see "his work" and says, "Hey, Daddy, that made my belly hurt all night. I just pooped a fly."

Next, I was having a conversation with Gabriel about taking Lucy to the veterinarian. I told him that I wasn't sure of the name of the doctor that Lucy would see. To which Gabriel replies, "Oh, okay. I'll check on-line."

Finally, this morning at Staci's house Staci commented to Gabriel, Grace, and Will that they were all silly kids. Then she asked Gabriel, "Are you silly, Gabriel?" He responded, "I'm not silly. I'm handsome." (I guess modest or humble are not words we would use to describe him.)
