Gabriel: "Mom, Mrs. Staci spelled my name wrong. She wrote G-A-B-E."
Me: "Honey, she wrote Gabe. At preschool you write your name Gabriel. You use both names don't you?"
Gabriel: "Oh, yeah. I have two names Gabriel and Gabe. I have Gabriel Jordan too, Mom."
Me: "Yup. Who calls you that?"
Gabriel: "You do, Mom . . . when I've done something wrong."
He has made the connection, and that's the way I like it!
