Gabriel had his first tee-ball game this afternoon. His team is the Angels, and they are in
light red . . . yes, pink . . . shirts.
We got to the YMCA early so the kids could play on the playset before heading to the field.
Alicia helped Daniel coach today. Gabriel started the game by heading to the outfield.
The kids rotated positions on the field, so before long, Gabriel was playing short stop-ish.
Sam got a turn to bat.
Then Gabriel got a turn to bat. The umpire was one of my former 3rd grade students. He was one of my favorite all-time students . . . I'm not ashamed to say it.
Papaw volunteered to be a base coach. He was assigned to 3rd base. It was so funny because the kids didn't know when to run and where to run to.
Way to go, Gabe! Score!
This was Gabriel's cheering section: Papaw, Uncle Rob, Grampy, and Pawpaw.
I didn't know tee-ball was a contact sport. The kids tackled each other to field the ball. Gabriel is the one in the black hat.
Yes, it looks like Alicia was giving them (Gabriel and Sam) a pep talk. The reality is she was telling them to stopping goofing off and watch the ball. Haha!

those two were so funny out there!! daniel said later, "i should have known not to put them there at the same time!" ha!
daniel said, "THANKS TO YOUR DAD!!" how can he tell him that himself? does he have e-mail? he missed him at the end of the game.
