Indy Children's Museum

Sunday morning we left the hotel and headed to the Children's Museum.  The kids and I love going there!  There is always something new and fun to see and do.
The new exhibit yesterday was Hot Wheels.  It was a super-fun exhibit, and the kids had a ball.
The new Hot Wheels exhibit  replaced the Barbie exhibit.  I was sad to see the Barbies go, but I have to admit that the Hot Wheels exhibit was more fun.
They had life-sized Hot Wheels cars.  They were really cool!
Grace sat down at this light table and drew a car.  I think she could have spent all day there.
This little VW Bug had decals and chrome parts that the kids could change.
Gabriel had a ton of fun doing that.
I think he was a fan of the Hot Wheels exhibit.
There was a racetrack set up on this wall.  The kids sent their cars flying down the track to see how far it would go airborne at the end.
There was quite a line of kids to race their cars, so Gabriel figured out a trick.  He took a handful of cars up to race at one time.
Grace had a blast with this little racetrack.  She'd set it up so that her car would knock things over at the end of the track.  You should have heard her cackle when things fell over.
Grace and I spent a few minutes looking at the miniatures on the 2nd floor.  The house is supposed to be a replica of the house General George Washington used as his home base during the Revolutionary War.  She and I talked about what different items were and who George Washington was.  It was nice to have a little one-on-one time together.
This guy outside the Lego exhibit was really cool with the kids.  He showed them a race car made from Legos.  Then he talked to them about what they liked to build with Legos and things they could make in the exhibit.
Dan finished building a spaceship someone had started.  Then they put the spaceship inside this green screen, chose a background location for the spaceship, and e-mailed the picture.  Cool!
Before lunch there was a Transformer show.  The lady said she was a mechanic, and this car showed up at her garage recently.  She wants to prepare the car to be driven.
As she started working on the car, it magically transformed into Bumblebee!  He danced and waved at the audience.  It was a very neat show.
Before we left the museum, Grace insisted on going to the Dinosaur Dig.  She chose pink goggles to wear while digging because they coordinated with her outfit.  Who knew that goggles could also be an accessory?!
