We picked lots of yummy apples so Daddy could make us homemade apple sauce.
Sitting on the tractors never seems to get old either.
We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful day. The sky was clear and the temperature was perfect.
The kids thought these white pumpkins were pretty cool.
Gabriel wanted to buy a pumpkin to make a pumpkin pie with . . . Ha! Ha! I told him that I preferred to buy my pumpkin pie filling in a can!
THESE pumpkins were just about the right size for us.
After picking apples, we had lunch on the lawn outside the winery. I bought a pitcher of spiced apple sangria. It was so yummy!
Leave it to Grace to try to milk a concrete cow!
Our final stop before dinner was the petting zoo. Gabriel loves to drive these little motorized cars.
Grace tried and tried, but she wasn't strong enough to keep the gas pedal pushed all the way down to make the car go.
So I sat behind her and pushed the pedal down while she steered.
The tube slide was fun. I went down it a few times with the kids.
Gabriel got a kick out of riding these tricycles around the track. He giggled and giggled as he pedaled around the track.
Grace had a hard time pedaling them. She got frustrated and quit riding pretty quickly.
We love to feed the animals. If you think about it, this whole petting zoo idea is such a racket. We pay for the food that we feed to their animals. They are making money while we do work for them.
This guy was a friendly goat. He was also pretty hungry.
The deer were really sweet too.
We had such a fun afternoon. We listened to live music while eating a light lunch. We fed animals, stocked up on apples and apple cider, and enjoyed the farm animals. We also ate dinner at Joe Huber's Family Restaurant. I wouldn't recommend that, especially considering the price, but it was still a great day with Grandma, Papaw, and the kids.
