Dan's grandma, Earlamae, was called home to be with Jesus about 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning. She had been ill since just after Thanksgiving. She kept saying on Thanksgiving that she didn't feel well, but she couldn't say exactly how she felt bad. A few days later she was hospitalized. She was diagnosed with advanced stages of lymphoma. She came home under the care of Hosparus after two weeks in the hospital.
Gramma was a beautiful and strong lady. She had an amazing sense of humor up until the very end. She loved her family and LOVED spoiling her grandchildren. We never visited Great Gramma that she didn't give the kids tons of candy and cookies and bags of candy to take home for later. Dan and I would shake our heads because we couldn't fight the goodies at Gramma's. Dan would just laugh and say, "Yep . . . that's how it was when I was a kid too."
We love you, Gramma! We hope you are no longer in pain and are happily seeing those people you have been missing for so long. Merry Christmas!
