Thursday evening we went to the Louisville Mega Caverns to see the Lights Under Louisville. There was a 30 to 45 minute wait to get into the Mega Caverns. The kids got a little antsy.
Look at all the traffic! The wait to get in is a very organized process though. They make improvements each year. For example, this year they had port-a-potties along the "waiting route." That was nice because Grace always has to pee at the most inopportune times. Last year after we paid, we had to pull off to the side and use the port-a-potties that were intended for the staff.
As we entered the caverns, Grace was SO excited. She was hopping up and down and giggling.
This is the first year that Dan has gone with us, and he was slightly less than a Scrooge about the entire thing.
In Fairy Tale Land they had storybook characters in lights. This one is Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming.
I always love the ice skaters.
The kids were excited to see Candyland.
I love how the display about Remembering Jesus grows each year.
There were several displays that showed who the sponsors of the lights are. I'm afraid that before too long, we'll begin seeing more of these signs and not as many holiday lights. When that happens, we will stop going.
It was a fun evening outing to kick off our holiday break!

I thought the lights were better this year than ever before. There were more sections. We were there the same night. What time did you go? We only waited about 15 minutes. It was a fun way to kick off break!
