Sam had apparently been planning to have a lemonade stand. Alicia purchased the necessary supplies. Mid-morning Sunday the kids got a lemonade stand going. They charged fifty cents a cup and selling out of their lemonade. Altogether they made $9.80.
Grace and Jake did quality control to be sure that Sam and Gabriel were selling a good product.
It wasn't long before they had their first customer.
Sam and Gabriel made a pretty good team. One would get the ice and the other would pour the lemonade.
When lunch was over, Jake and Grace went down for naps. Gabriel and Sam went to the pool with Alicia and me.
******Insert lots of swimming and dinner here, followed by a thunderstorm.*****
Once the thunderstorm hit Sunday evening, we all piled in the McAfee's camper. The big kids watched a movie while sweet Nora slept and the adults played Euchre.Alicia served popcorn, Grace's favorite, for a snack.
Gabriel was out pretty quickly. It took Sam a little longer to fall asleep, and he didn't sleep for long.
When we pulled the blanket off of Gabriel to take him to bed, this is what we saw. Poor guy didn't look comfortable, but he was SO TIRED he didn't seem to mind.
It rained off and on during the night and for a while on Monday morning. We hung out inside the camper Monday morning playing Chutes and Ladders and just being silly. When the rain finally stopped, it was time to pack up and go home. Boo! We had a great time celebrating our holiday weekend camping with the McAfee family.
