First thing Saturday morning, after a good night's sleep, Gabriel wanted to try out the scooter again. I was so glad that he wasn't afraid to get back on, despite the fact that it made me cringe a little. He only rode for a minute though.
Looking better already!
Sam and Gabe started the morning with some Angry Birds on Dan's iPad. After a while I suggested the kids do a craft. Sam was not in favor, but Ninny said, "I know what your mother would say. She'd say put the screen down and do a craft, Sam."
So he did. The kids colored water bottle holders with fabric markers.
This kept them entertained for a little while.
Next we went to the pavilion to get Yogi's autograph.

To beat the heat, we visited Mammoth Cave Saturday afternoon. Daniel very appropriately called our tour The Mammoth Cave 5K.
We rarely got to stop and enjoy our surroundings while we were inside the cave. By the time we caught up with the group, not that we were slow or lagging behind, the guide was finished speaking and the group was moving again. We didn't get to hear much of the history of the cave.
The kids thought the cave was really cool. I guess that was the most important thing.
The Hey, Hey, Hey Ride Saturday was for Water Warriors. A truck from the local fire department pulled the trailer and sprayed water during the ride. Campers at campsites sprayed the people riding the Hey Ride and vice versa.
After the ride, Alicia and the kids were soaked.
The McAfee's fixed dinner Saturday night. Alicia had asked Gabriel what he wanted to eat at camp, and he said Snickers Ice Cream bars. So the kids ate ice cream bars for dessert.
It was still hot, so the ice cream melted pretty quickly. No worries, though. Jake and Grace licked their ice cream off of the table cloth.
After baths, the McAfee's hosted movie night in their camper, complete with popcorn. The feature presentation was Yogi Bear!
While the kids enjoyed their movie, the adults played some Skip-bo until Alicia fell asleep. Ha! I'm just kidding . . . kinda. She was only partially sleeping.
Ahhh . . . another successful day at camp!
