Memorial Weekend --- Sunday

Sunday morning started with some breakfast and a little baseball game.

It worked out well that Grace liked to hit and Jake like to fetch. I think he was actually trying to get a chance at batting, but every time he put the ball back on the tee, Grace would hit it again.
Jackson, Grace, and Darbi played in the back of the McAfee pick-up truck.
Grace wanted to try out Pap's scooter too.
It wasn't long before the weather warmed up and a water fight broke out.
Daniel and Damon played in the water just like they were kids too.
I think having the dads play made the water fight just that much more fun!
Gabriel and Sam were sneaking up on each other around the side of the McAfee truck.
Just like a big brother, Gabriel was after his sister.
Pap had promised that the girls could go out on the boat, so Grace gladly put on her life vest and was ready to go.

After dinner, Pap and Daniel took the boat out again. Gabriel was so eager to go out on the boat again.
Despite the water being a bit cold, Gabriel did not let that stop him from getting in and playing.
Here are Gabriel and Sam . . . I think they are part fish.

At one point, Gabriel looked at me and said, "Mom, this is the best vacation ever! I can't wait to do this again!"

He loved going FAST in the boat!
When we got back to camp, a campfire was in the works. Gabriel couldn't WAIT to get a s'more.
Me and my girl . . . she prefers her marshmallows un-roasted.
Daniel stood watch over the fire and kept it stoked for us.

The first camping trip of the season was a huge success! We can't wait to go again!
