After we ate our ice cream, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take a walk down by the Falls of the Ohio.
We were not exactly prepared for rock climbing. Daddy and I were wearing sandals, and Grace was wearing flip-flops. Daddy carried Grace down a few of the steeper rocks.
Daddy talked to the kids about the fossils they saw in the rocks.
The view of the river was pretty.
The kids loved climbing on the rocks.
"Look, Mom! I'm the king of the world!"
This was a pretty cool outing for being completely spontaneous.
I loved watching the kids explore and climb. Maybe we can do it again sometime, but wear appropriate shoes.
Before we left, Grace found a sandy area. She immediately sat down and started digging. She kept saying, "Mommy, sit down and dig with me." She LOVED the sand! We need to get this kid to the beach. She would LOVE it.
