First Birthday

Gabriel's first birthday was Friday. His babysitter, Cathy, had a party for him at her house. They had cake, balloons, and lots of fun. Saturday was Gabriel's party with family at home. Granny, Grampy, Grandma, Grandpa, MaMa, Papa, Gramma, Uncle Rob, Aunt Wendy, Bobby, Ben, Evan, Uncle Brian, Missy, and Billy were all there. Grandma made cupcakes for the party, and Gabriel really enjoyed his. He got lots of great gifts from clothes to a John Deere tractor to a Sing Along Elmo to a Radio Flyer Wagon to a Vtech Crazy Legs Bug. It was a fun and exhausting day for this kiddo. . . and now he is officially 1!

Poop Face

The exersaucer is great for keeping Gabriel "regular." A half hour in this thing, and all's clear! You can see here the concentration on his little face.

Play Time

Gabriel loves to play with his Elmo toy. It has been one of his favorite toys for a long time now. The little boy gets around the house so well and everything he can get his hands on is fair game.

Talking

Gabriel is working on some new words. He says, "Aa-at!" to the dogs, especially the babysitter's dog, Rebel. He loves to hear, "Uh-oh!" and tries to say it. Often he gets the "Aa-at!" confused with "Uh-oh," and it comes out "Aa-at-oh!" It is very cute!

Bouncing Boy

The bouncing boy has really gotten the hang of his Bounce and Spin Zebra toy.

Trouble

Gabriel is pulling up on the furniture. He pulls up to his knees and then reaches whatever he wants. This means that he is getting the remote control for the TV, Daddy's laptop computer, the wipes on the table, and all of the coasters. We can't leave him for a second without him getting into trouble!

Naked Boy

The silly kiddo got away from Mommy last night while she was trying to get his PJ's on him. He crawled away wearing only a diaper and A sock. Then he decided to play peek-a-boo using his clothes to cover his face. In these pictures, Mommy has put his pants on his head, and he thought that was pretty funny!

Tricycle

Gabriel showed some interest in his tricycle earlier this week. He sat on the tricycle for a few minutes and tried to push it with his feet, but he is a little shy of being able to touch the ground with both feet. It won't be long and he'll be able to touch the pedals.

Busy Little Beaver

Gabriel is a busy little guy lately. He is always on the move and always into something. He is crawling really well --- it's an army man crawl more than the traditional crawl up on all fours.
