Bedtime Story

. . . for her baby. She's such a good little mama.

Louisville Science Center

We had a fun day yesterday with the McAfee's at the Louisville Science Center. Jake and Grace are the littlest of our monkeys.
The biggest monkeys in the crew are Dan, Ben, and Bobby.
Alicia demonstrated for Sam and Gabriel how the pulleys work.
Meanwhile, Grace did a little construction project of her own.
Then the kids found the water table. They had fun, but they ended up soaking wet.
Sam thought this sprinkler was pretty neat.
The next thing in the The Kid Zone was a craft.
Grace made herself this crown. She is such a fashionista!
Before moving to the IMAX, the kids played on an ambulance.
We saw "The Light Before Christmas" in the IMAX theater. It was a cool movie for the little kids.

Gabriel participated in a hand washing experiment to see how many germs he could get off of his hands. He did a very thorough job.
Ben showed Grace what to do to hear the sound of hiccups.
Ben and Gabriel tried to synchronize the beating of the giant heart.

This was the germ kitchen. YUCK!
Dan and I played some virtual volleyball. Ha!
Sam and Gabriel drove a car in a drunk driving simulation.

Grace checked out some animals.
This was a funny moment. Alicia was talking to Sam, Gabriel, and Grace about caves and giving a very nice explanation of what they were seeing in the exhibit. Then she said something like "Right, Sam?" Sam had already taken off. I'm not sure he heard a word of her explanation.
Gabriel and Ben did a spaceship simulator.
The kids played with a few gears on the wall.
As we were leaving, Sam put himself in a giant bubble. It was very cool!

Thanks, McAfee's, for going with us. We had a great time. There was so much to do that I'd love to go back and see more.

Radiator Springs

Gabriel has turned our couch into Radiator Springs, the fictitious town where the movie Cars takes place. We were not allowed to sit on the couch last night because it would disturb his cars. Geez!

Go Fish!

Bobby and Ben are staying the night with us tonight. We decided that it might be fun play the Go Fish! game that Gabriel got for Christmas.
Grace and I studied our hand carefully and calculated our next play.
After playing cards, we decided it was time to wind down before bed. The kids idolize their big cousins. Can you tell?

Charlestown Pizza Co.

We met the Nuxoll family at the Charlestown Pizza Company last night for dinner. I think the highlight was Nick winning a half dozen stuffed animals from the claw machine. It was amazing!
Kids of all ages enjoyed the video games, as well as the yummy pizza and the great company.

Freshly Baked Waffles

Mmmm . . . Mommy made homemade waffles with her new waffle maker.
What's Grace think of them? "Good." She says.

Merry Christmas to Daddy

Yup, Daddy bought himself that flat screen t.v. that he's longed for.

Christmas at Grampy's House

Gabriel played "Santa" at Grampy's house and delivered gifts.
Grace helped Uncle Robbie unwrap his gift.
Gabriel was eager to see what Uncle Rob was unwrapping.
Ben got some nice gifts: a cell phone, Sponge Bob DVD's, and Star Wars DVD's.
Bob got an iPod Touch from his Dad and Great Gramma.
Uncle Robbie gave Gabriel and Grace some Nerds candy for Christmas.
They also got a box of movies.
Grace likes to sport Bobby's hat.

Christmas Dinner

We went to Grandma and Papaw's house for Christmas dinner. Grandma had more gifts waiting for the kids there.
Gabriel got two CARS books. Grace got a Sesame street book.
Both kids received some Color Wonder art supplies.
Grace got some accessories for her baby doll.
This books tells about each of the CARS characters.
Grandma made turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn pudding, and cranberries for dinner.
The kids decided that they wanted to sit in the big chairs like the adults.
I wish you could have heard Grace's giggles as she and Papaw played after dinner. They were pretending to be asleep in the floor and then yelling, "Wake up!" at each other.
