So Entertaining . . .

It is amazing what will entertain a two year old. Coming home from Huber's, it was tearing up a tissue and dropping the pieces on the floor of the van. Go figure!

Feeding the Animals

You can see here how much Gabriel enjoyed feeding the animals at the petting zoo. It was so fun to watch him!

Huber's

We went to Huber's Orchard and Winery today. The kids' area is growing every year, and it has a lot of fun things for Gabriel to do.Of course as soon as Gabriel saw these little motorized cars, he HAD to drive one. He did alright, with some help from Daddy. They have a giant inflatable pillow for kids to jump on. No one else was on it at the time, so Mommy and Daddy had to get in on the fun. It WAS fun too! There was a sandy area around the outside of the jumping pillow. Gabriel enjoyed getting his sock feet dirty in the sand.Grace thought that we were pretty silly jumping up and down on the inflatable pillow.Next, we hit the Mountain Slide. Gabriel went first. Then Mommy and Grace came down the slide. Finally Daddy slid down. The petting zoo was fun this year too. Gabriel was not the least bit scared of the animals. He enjoyed feeding them.

He put the pieces of corn under the fence for the sheep.
The goat and Grace checked each other out.At the playground, the car ---- surprise, surprise --- was Gabriel's favorite toy.Daddy and Gabe posed for a picture on the concrete pig.
Mommy's little piggies . . . .

Cassidy's Birthday Party

Saturday afternoon we went to our cousin Cassidy's first birthday party.
Happy Birthday, Cassidy!
Papa ended up sharing his cake with Gabriel and Grace.
Grace cried when the cake was all gone . . . too funny!
Cassidy and her Mommy (Candi) opening gifts.
Grace loved the tissue paper. After all of the presents were opened, the girls played at Cassidy's new activity table.

Cute Outfit

I love to buy Grace outfits with matching hats; however, she is not a big fan of hats.
I couldn't even get the hat on her long enough to take the picture! Stinker!!

Wrestling with Mommy

Saturday morning was fun. After everyone was fed and cleaned up, we had some playtime. Part of our playtime ended up being some wrestling with Mommy.
Grace was grabbing Mommy's face while Gabriel was taking a flying leap.
Over the side he goes. A note from the author: No children were injured during the taking of these photographs.

Mischief

Grace goes everywhere and gets into everything now! She keeps us on our toes!

Bath Time Tantrum

This is often the scene when we tell Gabriel that it's time to take a bath. I find it ironic that he cries when we tell him that it's time to take a bath and go to bed AND when I wake him up in the morning.

"I a turtle!"

Gabriel held this basket up to his chest/stomach and ran around the living room saying, "I a turtle!" Never mind the fact that turtles have their shells on their backs.

Silly Boy

Uncle Rob, Bobby, and Ben stopped by tonight to see the kids. Gabriel and Grace LOVE their cousins. Gabriel's pod toy became a "car" tonight (shocking, huh?), he has a pretend steering wheel, and quite a get up.

Yard Sale Find!

I have been to many yard sales this summer looking for riding toys for Gabriel. The toy that I really wanted for him was a Little Tikes or Step 2 car. I finally found one at the community yard sale Saturday. I saw it the moment that I pulled in to set up my yard sale space. I bought it before the sale had even started. All he has wanted to do all day today is ride his red car . . . he loves it. Score one for Mommy!!

He has such a good imagination. We never know what he is going to say!

Eating Yogurt

Grace ate yogurt tonight for dinner. When she was finished she was a huge mess. Yogurt was all over her face, in her hair, and on her eyelashes.
Her hands dripped with yogurt.
She even had it on her leg.

Clarksville Community Yard Sale

While the boys were looking at trucks, Mommy and Grace worked a yard sale space at the community yard sale. The price tag on Grace got quite a few chuckles and comments. She loved all of the attention.

Touch-A-Truck

Saturday Dan took Gabriel to an event organized by the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Dept. called Touch-A-Truck. A dozen or so different trucks were parked out by the Town Hall for kids to go explore. Gabriel LOVED it! He loves cars and trucks. He loves to pretend to drive. This was right down his alley. Here are a few of his favorites: The army truck was one of the first that he saw. All weekend Gabriel has been chanting, "Up, 2, 3, 4! Up, 2, 3, 4!"
The construction vehicle was fun to drive too.
Gabriel LOVES firetrucks. We pass a firestation in Jeff every day going to and from Staci's house. He announces every day, "Firetrucks!"
Each morning at Staci's house the kids watch at the door as the school bus goes down the street. Having the opportunity to sit on a seat in the school bus and to get to "drive" it was a huge treat.

Another unique truck was the Bubble Truck. It actually makes bubbles. The owner also had different bubble sticks for the kids to play with.
I hope that this is the only time that Gabriel will be in the back of an ambulance.

Ride'm Horsey

This is why I can't get anything done at home. We have so much fun play time!

Day with Papa

The kids spent the day with Papa today because Staci needed the day off. Gabriel had a great time! Playing after breakfast

At the park
Grace rode to the park in the stroller.
"Thanks, Grandma and Papa!"
