Kitchen Counter

Gabriel decided that he wanted to sit on the kitchen counter top like Grace does.

Bumbo Seat

Grace is doing so well with holding her head up, and she loves to sit upright. So we got out the Baby Bumbo seat for her. She likes it for short periods of time.

Entertainment at Grandma and Papa's House

Gabe looked at pictures on Grandma's digital photo frame.
Daddy showed Grace Grandma's balloon. She thought it was so awesome.
See the excitement on her face!

Nap with Daddy

After the reception we went to Grandma and Papa's house. Daddy, Papa, and Gabe went to the park to play. Then Daddy and Grace took a cat nap on the couch. I love these pictures . . . they look so sweet.

Greentree Mall

Gabriel loves the slide at the play area in the mall. It keeps him active and entertained for the longest time.
Grace took a nap while Gabriel played. It won't be long and she'll be playing too.

Thumbsucker

When Mommy looked in on Grace during her morning nap, she discovered that Grace was asleep with her thumb in her mouth. It is so cute, but I'm not sure that we want to encourage thumb sucking.

Fell Asleep

Grandma was playing with Grace last night, wiggling her legs and talking to her . . . and Grace just fell asleep. It took this, clearly exhausted, little girl two seconds to be out like a light!

Play Time with Mommy

Mommy, Gabe, and Grace sat in the floor Friday night and worked on a puzzle together. Hershey helped too!

Chubby Cheeks, Pretty Girl

Grace's cheeks just keep getting chubbier. They make her grins just that much cuter.

Self Portraits

Mommy and Daddy were just playing with the camera tonight, trying to get some decent self portraits . . . not bad.

SLEEP!!!

Our angel, Grace, slept from 8:30 PM Monday night until 5:30 AM Tuesday morning. Hallelujah! Mommy got 6 1/2 hours of straight, uninterrupted sleep. Thank you, Gracie! Let's keep up the good sleeping!

From the Mouth of Gabe

Last night after coming upstairs from the basement, Mommy told Gabriel, "Take one last drink of milk, and leave the milk cup downstairs. We need to go upstairs and take a bath." Gabriel took a big gulp of milk, walked to the basement door, and threw his milk cup down the stairs. Then he pointed and proclaimed, "Downstairs." (Mommy really just meant that we weren't going to take the cup upstairs to the bath with us. Silly Mommy!)

After three sucks from the bulb syringe trying to relieve Gabe's nose of some mucus Saturday night, he told Mommy, "Just pick it." (Where did he get that?)

Saturday evening Gabriel was calling both dogs Hershey. Daddy trying to correct Gabriel says, "Her name is Lucy. Gabriel, say Luh-Luh-Lucy." To which Gabriel replied, "Lu-Lu-Hershey!"

Roller coaster

The Ellnor Roller Coaster not as cool as the McAfee's, but just as fun!

Similarities

People frequently ask us if Gabriel looked like Grace as an infant. We see many similiarities, but they are not identical. Make your own judgement . . .

Good Big Brother

Gabriel laid down on the floor tonight on Grace's blanket. Mommy told him that if he laid on her blanket, then she got to lay on him. He seemed alright with that. He is really becoming a great big brother!

Changing

Grace is changing all the time. She has been smiling and cooing for several weeks now. Her smiles are much more frequent lately, and she occasionally makes this little squeal that sounds like she's excited. She is kicking with more strength and purpose. She rubs her little eyes when she's sleepy and tries to hold her own pacifier in her mouth. She also pulls herself forward liek she wants to sit up. Every day she changes just a little. It is amazing and wonderful, and I will really miss being with her all the time when I go back to work next week.

Sam's Birthday Party

Birthday boy enjoys his cake.
Opening the gift that Gabriel gave him
Grace enjoying the McAfee's bouncy seat

Even a few big kids enjoyed the blow up bouncy thing!

Gabriel riding Sam's roller coaster . . . he LOVED it!

Today we attended a party for Sam's 2nd Birthday. The McAfee's basement is like Disney World for our kiddos. Sam got a roller coaster for Christmas that Gabriel absolutely LOVED riding. Alicia borrowed a bouncy thing for the kids to play in at the birthday party. That was quite a hit with Gabriel too. Grace even enjoyed Sam's former bouncy seat because it has a fish thing that bubbles. Thanks, Sam, for having us over! We all had a great time! Happy 2nd Birthday!

Game Night at the Hoyland's

Mommy, Daddy, and Grace went to the Hoyland's for games and pizza last night while Gabe spent the night with Grandma and Papa. Abby and Grace are so cute together! The girls almost had their first sleepover, but neither of them could settle down and actually sleep. They are such precious little babies!

Grace and Abby enjoyed some tummy time. The truth is . . . neither of them is a fan of tummy time. It didn't last long.
