It's Not Fair!
Gabriel has picked up the phrase, "It's not fair!" somewhere. He doesn't hear it at home, so we think that it came from TV or another kid at Staci's. It's so hilarious because he says it when he's mad, but it is not always appropriate. Even though we try to discourage him from saying it, but it's so funny we can't help but laughing. The funniest part is the arm crossing and that mean face that he makes!

Check-ups
Both kids went to the doctor today for their check-ups. Grace had her 6 month check-up and immunizations, and Gabriel had his 2 year check-up and immunization.
Gabriel weighs 35 lbs. 8 oz. He is 35 3/4 inches tall. His height and weight are in the 90th percentile. He has actually lost 2 lbs. since he was seen last.
Grace weighs 14 lbs. 13 oz. She is 23 3/4 inches. Her height and weight are in the 30th percentile.
The kids were awesome for their appointment. Gabriel and Grace played together on the exam table. Grace rolled all over the place while Gabriel tried to "get her" (tickle her). He teased her with her teething beads. Both of them enjoyed making noise with the paper covering the exam table. I will swear that Grace was rolling back and forth to get closer to Gabriel so she could kick him. We're going to have to watch her; she's going to be a stinker I think.
Gabriel had some blood work done to test his lead and iron levels, and he got a shot. He is very brave because he never shed a tear. After the nurse took his blood, he said, "I not like that." Gracie cried when she got her shots and when the doctor looked in her mouth. She was fine once I picked her up though.

Two by Two Class at the Zoo
We went to the zoo this morning for a Two by Two class. It is a class for two year olds. We met Alicia and Sam there too.
Grace was all snuggly warm on the chilly morning in her front carrier zipped inside Daddy's jacket.
Gabriel's favorite part of the class was coloring a picture of an egg that had a little chick in it.
We got to see some cool animals this morning. Because it was a little chilly out, the animals were out and pretty active. We did not get to pet the emu, but we did get a great view of the eagle.
We took a ride on the train. Sam and Gabriel had a great time playing while we waited (45 minutes).
Grace took in all of the sights from the train. I think she enjoyed it too!

Baseball Game
We went to the baseball park tonight to see Bobby and Ben play. They are on the Reds this year. They won the game 1-0. Gabriel had so much fun! He really enjoyed cheering them on, yelling, "Go, Team!" and "Good eye!" We hate that so many of their games begin after Gabriel's bedtime.
Chilly Grace kept warm in her seat with one of her favorite fleece blankets.
