Croup

Gabriel has had a nasty, dry, barking cough all week. This morning he woke up crying because he felt so miserable. His breathing was somewhat labored, and he sounded wheezy and tight in the chest. Instead of going to Staci's, he went to Papa's for the morning. Daddy took him to the doctor at noon. It is just croup, so it is not anything really serious. He was given a 12 hour decongestant/antihistamine and mild steroid for at bedtime. He doesn't act terribly sick during the day, just tired and congested.
