We met the Lewis's and the McAfee's this morning for the free movie at Great Escape. Gabriel and Grace were a little cranky this morning so I wasn't feeling too hopeful about seeing much of the movie. If you look at Gabriel's face in this picture you can tell that he was a little on the cranky side today.
This was not Grace's first time at the movie theater because she came along last summer when Gabriel and I came for the free movie, but she, of course, did not remember. She was in awe.
Her eyes were glued to the screen for the first half an hour (hallelujah!). She repeated lines of the movie and gave her own little running commentary. It was so cute.
Here is half of our bunch: Sam, Jackson, Janelle and Darbi, Grace.
This is the other half of our bunch: Jake and Alicia, Gabriel, and Sam (again).
Grace made through forty-five minutes of the movie, then she was too restless to stay any longer. I let the kids stop at the arcade to "drive" for a minute as we left because I felt bad that Gabriel had been enjoying the movie and didn't want to leave.
The Campbell's joined us, and we all had lunch and playtime at Chik-fil-A.
These kids were worn out after movie, playtime, lunch and more playing. The moms were worn out too, by the way.
Our little monkeys --- Lucas, Sam, and Gabriel
Two pretty girls --- Darbi and Grace
Can you tell how tired she was after all of that playing? I had to work to keep her awake on the ride home.
