Let me start with some history here. Our new house is my father-in-law's house. This house was built for Dan's mom. This is her retirement home . . . the last home she lived in. One of the memories I have of her in this house is bathing Bobby and Ben in her bathtub in the master bathroom. The tub is huge. Bobby and Ben used to get so excited about getting take a bath in Granny's big tub! I'm glad that my kids get to experience the same treat, and even though she is not with them in the physical sense, I am sure that she was with them this week when they took a bath in her big tub.
Wednesday evening Dan promised the kids that if they ate a good dinner, they could have a bath in the BIG bathtub. They could not wait!
They thought they were swimming in it!
Yes, Granny was definitely here Wednesday evening when the kids bathed in her big bath tub. She was smiling down on them!

More Easter Eggs
Easter Egg Hunt
After church Sunday we went to Wayne, Candi, and Cassidy's house to have lunch and an Easter egg hunt.
The kids had a ball hunting for eggs!
They found eggs in the trees, on the ground, and even in tricky hiding places.
Cassidy found a basket full of eggs!
Papaw helped the kiddos find a few tricky eggs.
Before we had to leave, Grace check out her eggs.

Ready for Church
The Easter Bunny Came!
The Easter bunny was good to us!
He left the kids new Crocs and a bag of coffee beans for Mommy and Daddy. Looks like he enjoyed his snack too!
Gabriel was the first one out of bed.
He was pretty excited to get more Cars in his Easter basket.
He checked all of his loot out pretty carefully.
Next, Grace woke up and was pretty excited about her Easter basket.
"Look! It's another egg, Mom!"
Grandma made cards for the kids.
They loved their Easter cards too!

Coloring Easter Eggs
Saturday was SO busy with moving, unpacking, laundry, etc. that I almost FORGOT that we hadn't dyed Easter eggs yet. Luckily, Grandma had a dozen eggs she gave to us, and I had bought egg dye last year on clearance. About 8:00 I decided to boil the eggs for us to dye.
Gabriel showed Grace a little brotherly love.
They didn't care what time it was . . . they had fun coloring their eggs.
Gabriel was pretty excited about his special green egg.
We dyed the eggs while they were still hot from boiling, so several of them got dropped into the dye instead of gently placed. They were pretty beat up, but oh well!

House Updates
First Dinner in the New House
So . . . who moves on a Wednesday night after work? The Ellnor family does! Tuesday night's storm ripped the power lines and phone lines off the back of our house. Dan spoke with the Duke Energy guys working in our neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, and their estimate for getting our power back on was late Saturday, at the earliest. They said it could take as long as two weeks. YIKES! Dan and Brian had already moved our generator to the other house on Sunday, and moving it back was not going to happen. Dan called me after school Wednesday afternoon, and said, "We're moving . . . now." DOUBLE YIKES! And so . . . more quickly, less organized, and much sooner than we expected . . . we moved in Wednesday evening. We only have the essentials right now, but Dan will be working on getting us moved completely next week. What a hectic week it's been!
And So It Began . . . .

Sunshine & Sunday
Today was an absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l day! Daddy took us to Q'doba after church for some lunch so we could sit outside and soak up the sunshine. Great idea, Babe!
Grace was so excited today because she and I were dressed alike. See . . . her dress and my tank top are the same color, and we're both wearing white sweaters.
It should be illegal to be this cute! I love how she shows her dimply grin to her daddy!
I wish every day could be as beautiful as today!

New Cousin
Bike Riding
I entered a competition at work. Each week we have a nutrition and a fitness challenge to complete. The fitness challenge for this past week was to do 30 minutes of cardio 5 of 7 days.
The weather was so beautiful Thursday night that I decided our cardio should come from riding bicycles at Grandma and Papaw's neighborhood.
So the kids rode their bikes to Zesto's and Grandma, Papaw, and I walked behind them.
The kids ordered Big Chills --- it's vanilla soft serve in a slushie. Grace chose strawberry, and Gabriel chose blue raspberry.
After our yummy treats, we rode back to Grandma and Papaw's house.
Grace couldn't finish all of her treat, so Grandma carried it home for her.
I'm so glad I am participating in this competition. I feel more fit already! Ha ha!
