We went to the zoo this morning. It was not too hot, and Gabriel had a good time seeing the animals.
One of our first stops was the carousel. Gabriel chose to ride in the carriage, so Grace was able to come along for the ride too.
We watched the elephant exercises. Scotty, that baby elephant, was quite a crowd pleaser.
It looked like the camels were watching the elephant show.
The meerkat was hilarious! Look at him chilling out!

The entire reason we went to the zoo is because Dora the Explorer was there. To anyone who might consider going to the zoo to see a character, my recommendation is DON'T. It wasn't worth the wait in the ampitheater.

No, Gabriel did NOT get to meet Dora. We waited in the ampitheater for 15 minutes. They brought Dora out. Then made an announcement that we could not hear. Started a line on the opposite side of the ampitheater for pictures with Dora. We thought that we would go have lunch and come back because the line was SO long already. After lunch Dora was on a break and the line was all the way up the hill from the ampitheater. So we left! Poor Gabriel!
