Saturday Dan took Gabriel to an event organized by the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Dept. called Touch-A-Truck. A dozen or so different trucks were parked out by the Town Hall for kids to go explore. Gabriel LOVED it! He loves cars and trucks. He loves to pretend to drive. This was right down his alley. Here are a few of his favorites:
The army truck was one of the first that he saw. All weekend Gabriel has been chanting, "Up, 2, 3, 4! Up, 2, 3, 4!"
The construction vehicle was fun to drive too.
Gabriel LOVES firetrucks. We pass a firestation in Jeff every day going to and from Staci's house. He announces every day, "Firetrucks!"
Each morning at Staci's house the kids watch at the door as the school bus goes down the street. Having the opportunity to sit on a seat in the school bus and to get to "drive" it was a huge treat.
Another unique truck was the Bubble Truck. It actually makes bubbles. The owner also had different bubble sticks for the kids to play with.
I hope that this is the only time that Gabriel will be in the back of an ambulance.

we had all planned on going too. however, mastitis over took me this weekend. we went to the parade here in the 'burg and it didn't end until 11. by that time, mastitis set in pretty bad. damon ended up taking jackson to the train demonstration at his grandma's church that goes along with art in the park. i wish we would have been able to go to the touch a truck event. jackson would have loved it too! glad you all had fun!!!
