Holdaway Reunion 2010

We spent Thursday through Sunday at the Holdaway Family Reunion at Lincoln State Park. It was a ton of fun for the whole family --- all 100 of us.
Grace came running from our cabin yelling, "Mommy, I got a shot! I got a shot!" I had NO IDEA what she was talking about until Erin handed her a shot glass. NICE! I guess it was okay because Grace's shot glass only had cranberry juice in it.
It was awesome that some of the older cousins could entertain the little guys and gave the mommies and daddies time to relax.
Michele did Grace's hair in the cutest little French braids. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before she had taken them out.
Saturday afternoon we had craft time. Even some big kids got in on the fun! We decorated can coozies with foam stickers.
Denni was one of Grace's favorite people at the reunion. Too bad she doesn't live closer . . . she would be an awesome babysitter!

Next, we went to the nature center to enjoy some A/C and play checkers.
In the evening, some fun games were started in the driveway near the dining hall. Erin, Uncle Brian, and Uncle Ed taught Grace and Gabriel how to play basketball.
Gabriel played like he was one of the men.
Grace got frustrated because she couldn't make a basket, so Uncle Ed tried to help her out.
She moved on to 4-Square with Daddy.
Cindy was very brave to let Grace try out her camera.
Ray gave the kids rides on his scooter.
Grace collected pine cones to show everyone.
Here is the Ed Holdaway family.
Maria, Claire, Anthony, and Grace
Aunt Stacey's birthday was Friday, so cousin Johnny serenaded her with a special birthday song.
Then we made her cut her own birthday cake.
Here are all of the Gallagher siblings: Joe, John, Michele, Dee, and Mike.
Every Saturday night of our reunion, Mike and Joe play guitars and sing for us. It's a serious thing . . . no joke . . . they rock! Before bedtime some of the little kids danced to the music. They were quite entertaining too!

So that is a quick synopsis of the 40th Holdaway Reunion. We are already looking forward to the 41st!
