Gabriel and Grace have been taking swim lessons every Monday and Wednesday evenings at the YMCA. Last Wednesday Gabriel was the only student in his group for swim lessons. He got one-on-one instruction for almost the full 45 minutes.
Gabriel's group practiced their kicks for freestyle swimming.
Grace can be a bit of stinker during swim lessons. If she isn't given a task to do, then she will find a way to fill her time. Wednesday she was letting go of the side of the pool (a no-no) and spinning in circles in the water.
Her swim teacher said that she is a little fish, so she doesn't worry too much about Grace letting go of the side of the pool.
Grace has been doing really well at swimming, but she hasn't mastered getting her head up to take breaths.
Gabriel's swim teacher said that he is one of the nicest kids she's ever had in swim classes. She said he is always quick to tell the other kids in the group "Good job." She also said that he has mastered the basic strokes, he just needs to practice them and get stronger.
